1865 - Born on February 14th in Madison, Wisconsin. American cartoonist and comic artist.

1890 - After an education in common schools and the School of Industrial Arts, Philadelphia, Carl Thomas Anderson was employed as staff artist on the Philadelphia Times.          - Carl Thomas Anderson went to New York City to draw cartoons and comic sketches for the World and Journal, and soon began extensive freelance work, his sketches being published in Judge, Life, Puck, McClure's syndicate, and the Saturday Evening Post.

1930 - Carl Thomas Anderson moved back to Madison and maintained a studio there. 1932 - Carl Thomas Anderson created the character named "Henry," which ran many years as a King Features comic strip.

1946 - Severe arthritis caused him to turn his famous comic strip, "Henry" over to an understudy.
