Biography of Alois I:
1781-1805 -Joined the military at a young age but had to withdrew due to health reasons. During his reign, Alois I supported mining operations within his lands in Moravia in order to raise money and the construction of an ironworks at Olomouc.
Alois I also dealt intensively with scientific problems, expanded the Liechtenstein library through the purchase of complete collections of books and hired the architect Joseph Hardtmuth design a new palace in Herrengasse, Vienna. Alois I was highly capticated by music and theatre that that Alois I had his own musical band and spent three months a year organising his own ensemble in the Feldsberg Castle.
