1869 - Born in Richland Center, Wisconsin 1893 - began working on his own independent from Sullivan Wright; developed practice of organic architecture, blending buildings into their environments, particularly in "prairie style" using expansive structures and earthy, natural colors and textures inspired by landscapes of American Midwest and West 1904 - one of his early works include The Larkin Company Administration Building 1906 - also made the design for Unity Church in Oak Park, III 1911 - designed Taliesin home in Spring Green, Wisconsin 1915-1922 - Imperial Hotel in Tokyo 1936 - Falling Water house in Bear Run, Pennsylvania 1938-1959- designed the Taliesin West 1955 - wrote "An Organic Architecture" 1939, "An American Architecture" 1959 - Solomon R.
