1785 - Born on the 13th of January in Sweden. 1812 - Carl Adolph Agardh was appointed professor of botany and practical economy at Lund University.

1816 - Carl Adolph Agardh was ordained a clergyman and received two parishes as "Prebend" (a post           connected to an Anglican or Catholic cathedral). 1817 - Carl Adolph Agardh was a representative in the clerical chamber of the Swedish Parliament on several occasions.

1819 - Carl Adolph Agardh was rector magnificus of Lund University for one year. 1831 - Carl Adolph Agardh was elected a member of the Swedish Academy.

1835 - Carl Adolph Agardh was appointed bishop of Karlstad. 1859 - Carl Adolph Agardh died on the 28th of January.
