1874 - Born in Boston on the 9th of  February. 1902 - Amy Lawrence Lowell lived as a socialite and travelled widely, turning to poetry after being inspired by a performance of Eleonora Duse in Europe.

1910 - Her first published work appeared in Atlantic Monthly. 1912 - Lowell was suggested to be lesbian, and Amy Lawrence Lowell and actress Ada Dwyer Russell were speculated as lovers.

1925 - Lowell died of a cerebral hemorrhageon the 12th of May at the age of 51.           - What's O'Clock   1926 - Pulitzer Prize for Poetry.
